This website is dedicated to the memory of Charles Julius Dunlop, who was president of the Companhia Ferro-Carril Carioca and my first friend in Brazil. Many of the photographs came from his collection. Most of the information in the photo captions is contained in my book, The Tramways of Brazil: A 130-Year Survey.
