The principal local line ran from VILLITA to LORETO via Juárez, Xicoténcatl and Hidalgo; returning via Hidalgo, Plaza Independencia, Guerrero and Juárez. The track on Samuel, Salvadora & Farías permitted freight trains from the eastern mines to reach the tram depot and steam railroads without passing through the city center.
