This map shows the city's two trolleybus systems when they had reached more or less their maximum extent and formed the largest electric bus network in the western hemisphere. The "fura-fila" ran several tests, but closed and was rebuilt as a conventional busway. The map also shows the metro system, suburban rail lines, major highways, and the heritage tramway that runs from Bresser metro station to the Memorial do Imigrante museum on Rua Visconde de Parnaíba, just east of downtown.
